FREE DIET PLAN
For many people, dieting is frustrating because
they have the desire to do it but lack the knowledge
to know what to eat. Many of us think in order
to lose weight we need to eat plain tasting things
that don’t appeal to our appetite, but that
is not the case. The good news is there are thousands
of foods you can eat with your diet that taste
great, are healthy, and can help you get the results
you need for your dieting program.
The trick to any good diet program is to eat controlled
portions, and in those controlled portions the
calorie intake should be low and the fat intake
should be low. One of the biggest misconceptions
in dieters is the belief that eating less is better.
That is not true! Ironically you want to eat more
often, but control the portions. Five or even
6 small meals a day is ideal because you always
want to satisfy your bodies need for food and
energy. Think of it as a wood burning stove that
runs all day. You wouldn’t throw one log
in and leave it and expect it to stay running,
you would have to replenish the stove many times
during the day in order to keep it running right,
and that is exactly the same principal as your
body when it comes to food. The fact is you need
to eat more often when dieting in order to keep
your metabolism going and to maintain a healthy
diet. If you eat often throughout the day you
will not feel hungry because your body will be
constantly processing something. Unlike these
fad diets where you eat once a day and then find
yourself binge eating because your body is desperate
for food. By eating frequently you accomplish
the following:
[1] You prevent hunger pains and it curbs
or stops binge eating or over eating
[2] Eating more often increases your metabolism
so you burn more calories
[3] The more often you eat the better
the food is absorbed in your body
[4] You will have more energy the more often you
eat
This is the secret to healthy dieting. Most people
associate starvation with healthy dieting and
that is the opposite of the truth. Eating 5 portion
controlled meals a day will increase your energy,
help your body absorb food better, and boost your
metabolism which in turn will burn fat.
Now you are asking. What does portion controlled
mean? Well basically put that means eating portions
that are in relation to your body size. “Well
who has time to count calories”, none of
us in the busy lives we lead, but fear not, there
is a simple guideline you can follow and that
is a normal portion should be the size of your
hand. For example if you have some pasta make
sure the portion would fit in your hand, or if
you have a baked potato make sure it fits in your
hand. Many times people overflow their plates
with the thing’s they like and that is why
the extra weight packs on. Control your portions
and eat more often and you will for sure start
to see positive weight loss results.
Some other tricks to
successful dieting :
Always eat breakfast. You may be rushed in the
morning or not feel hungry but starting the day
with something healthy is critical. You’ve
heard it before “Breakfast is the most important
meal of the day”, well it is! Start the
day off with foods high in fiber, or fruits. Something
natural and healthy is ideal.
Another very important thing to do all throughout
the day, as boring as it seems, is drink plenty
of water. This is important because it helps maintain
an increased metabolism and it will also suppress
those hunger pains. Keeping something in your
stomach at all times gives your body something
to process and therefore will eliminate those
mid-day stomach growls and curb your desire to
reach for a snack.
Exercise is also very important. Many dieters
get frustrated because they think they need to
join a gym and lift weights like a body builder.
That is a false conception. In order to get positive
results from exercising you simply want to increase
your heart rate for 30 minutes. This can be done
with a brisk walk, swimming, gardening, biking,
etc. The most important thing with exercise is
do something you enjoy doing so you maintain your
motivation. If you enjoy what you are doing the
chances of it becoming a habit are that much greater.
Most importantly be patient and start slowly.
Don’t expect miracles in the first week,
be realistic with your goals and diet safely.
There is no “miracle pill” on this
earth that will allow you to drop all the weight
in a healthy fashion without eating right and
doing some exercise. So be realistic. Prescription
pills that aggressively help you lose weight can
come with serious side effects. (Phentermine RX
is a perfect example of that). You may lose the
weight but there may be a serious price to pay
in the meantime and the weight will come right
back the second you stop taking it. So losing
weight the right way is crucial when it comes
to maintaining those results.
With a little
determination and the right information you will
succeed in your dieting goals!
